Sports Therapy
“The aspect of healthcare specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.”
The Society of Sports Therapists
There is a considerable difference between an injury healing, and the individual being strong enough, both physically and mentally, to make a successful return to their chosen work, sport or pastime. Specific exercises in the form of rehabilitation will help bridge this gap, and therefore must be included in every treatment programme, so as to aid the patient to gain maximum recovery.
Expert Healthcare
All our Sports Therapists are full members of the Society of Sports Therapists or BASRaT, the leading bodies in Sports Therapy and thus are fully trained and insured to practice in both the clinical and team environment. They adhere to the code of practice and rules and regulations that are laid down by the Society.
OTHER SERVICES
We work very closely with the GPs, Consultants and HR departments to whom we refer and get referrals from and have an excellent relationship and understanding with them to make sure that the patient is kept informed at every stage of the referral process, from the initial referral to the return to the workplace, or sports field.
WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
Below are a very small selection of our testimonials – look out for more throughout the site!

“I boxed competitively from the age of nine and also played tennis recreationally. I started resistance training from around the age of 16 and continue to this day.
I am now 56.
I was first introduced to Neil some 30 years ago after doing 12 sessions with a chiropractor who failed to help a bad shoulder problem I had. Neil examined me and then enthusiastically told me what he thought the remedy would be and how many sessions he estimated it would take for him to fix it.
He achieved this with in his estimated time limit and immediately became what I like to call my talisman.
Having trained and exercised all of my life, my body has undergone some injuries over the years and Neil has helped me overcome every single one of them, I have recommended many people young and old to his services and each and every person has come away happy saying what a great service he had provided.
Several months ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right hip, I was struggling to get around and hadn’t played tennis for months, the doctors were telling me to wait until I got older before having the operation.
I booked an appointment with Neil and we spoke about the options, his viewpoints, understanding and advice led me to push for the operation and after 3 months of using his rehabilitation program. I have never looked back and I’m back on the courts feeling like I’m in my 20’s again.
I can never thank Neil enough for the help and guidance he has given me through the years that I’ve known him and I’m proud to consider him a friend as well as my talisman.
My name is Leroy Nicholas and I am the CEO of Sweet Science Foundation, a National charity that uses non contact boxing to mentor young people away from gangs drugs knives”.

“Recovering from an ACL operation is one of the most challenging journeys I’ve faced in life — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
From the very first week post-surgery, Neil at Pulse Therapy was a reassuring presence. He reached out immediately, offering his time, guidance, and encouragement before I even stepped into the clinic. His calm approach, expert knowledge, and genuine care gave me the confidence and mental strength to take on the journey ahead and get back to my best ever version of myself”.

“The PULSE team have helped me recover form my various knee injuries and recent
surgery – their attention to every detail is in my opinion unique”
