I have an appointment for treatment and I have Private Medical Insurance – How do I make a claim?

We are covered by all the major insurance schemes – All you need to make sure of is that you have the appropriate referral from your Doctor or Specialist –Then contact your Insurance Provider who will give you a claim or authorisation number and we will do the rest.
N.B. Please make sure that your policy will cover you for the treatment you are receiving as it is the responsibility of the patient to settle any excess or treatment fees that are not covered by the policy.

Below are some of our Insurance Company Healthcare provider numbers:

What do I need to bring with me to the session?

Please dress appropriately for the appointment – If you are having a rehab session wear training kit, if you are coming in for examination or treatment then loose clothing will be ideal, as depending on your injured area you may be required to undress down to your underwear dependent on the injury site and aims of the session. If you require a chaperone please us know in advance of the appointment. Please also bring with you any details on your Private Medical Insurance, any referral letters and X-ray/Scans that you may have.

How long will my appointment last?

Typically, an initial appointment will last up to 1hr 15mins. Follow up appointments may range from 30 minutes– 2hrs depending on what treatment and rehabilitation is required.

Do you charge cancellation fees?

This is dependent on individual circumstances, but please be aware that in line with most health care providers less than 24hrs notice will incur full cancellation fees. We do this to try and eliminate people wasting appointment times that could be given to YOU when you most need it!

How long has Pulse been providing healthcare?

Pulse was set up in 1995 and has been progressive ever since. We have set up ten clinics in London, Surrey and Middlesex and now focus on our main six.

Who will treat me?

Pulse is staffed by fully qualified and insured therapists, who all specialise with different scopes of practice. It is our aim to place each patient with the appropriate specialist practitioner and be able to cross-refer if and when the time is appropriate – this keeps the focus on you as a patient and always has your best interests at heart.

If you can’t help me – what next?

At Pulse we will endeavour to do our utmost to help you with your injury, but if we feel that further referral is appropriate then we can use our experience to suggest the direction in which to go, this could be back to your GP or onwards to another healthcare provider or Specialist.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

This is dependant on the nature and severity of your injury – and when your initial treatment plan is discussed with you at your first consultation aims and objectives will be agreed.

What Hours do you hold Clinic?

Pulse Clinics typically start consulting at 7:30AM and finish at 10:00PM. Weekend appointments are also available, just check at the clinic you are attending or ask your therapist for full information.
